Linda M. Wilson

Linda M. Wilson, age 72, of Monmouth, Illinois, passed away at 12:36 P.M. on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at OSF Holy Family Medical Center in Monmouth, Illinois. She was born on January 6, 1947 in Galesburg, Illinois, the daughter of Robert A. and Agnes M. (Stratton) Moore. Linda grew up in Galesburg, Illinois, and was a graduate of Galesburg High School with the Class of 1965. On February 18, 1977 she married Glenn C. Wilson in East Galesburg, Illinois and he preceded her in death on March 2, 2017. Linda was previously married to Vic Bizarri. She worked 33 years for Maytag in Galesburg, Illinois as an assembler and a door repair technician. Linda always joked that she was "not the lonely repair person". She retired from Maytag January of 2000. Almost every Saturday morning, Linda met with her longtime friend Bonnie for breakfast and shopping. She enjoyed bowling and participated in leagues in Galesburg. Linda loved her grandchildren and tried to attend every event they participated in. Linda is survived by daughter Kimberly (Michael Blindt) Wilson of Monmouth, Illinois, step-daughter, Becky Swank of Monmouth, Illinois, son Anthony (Rose) Bizarri of San Antonio, Texas, step-son Paul (Terrie) Wilson of Summerville, South Carolina, and her grandchildren; Phillip, Heather, Eric, Tevin, Dakota, Alycia, Erica, and Aaron. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother, Bobby Moore, and step-son David Wilson. A funeral service is planned for 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, Illinois. Her family plan visitation from 5:00-7:00 P.M. on Monday, February 25, 2019 also at the funeral home. Interment will be at Monmouth Cemetery. Memorials are being established for the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation or the Quad Cities Rollers Junior Roller Derby.
