Lois L. Tatman, age 96, of Monmouth, passed away at 4:00 am at the Roseville Country Manor in Roseville, on June 11, 2013. Lois was born on May 23, 1917 in Monmouth, and is the daughter of Theodore and Ruth E. Lee Mettler. Lois was raised in Monmouth where she attended local schools and married Charles Tatman on August 5, 1934 in Canton, Missouri. He preceded her in death on December 21, 1973. Lois was first employed at the White House Dairy in Monmouth, and later worked at both Killey Cleaners and Breen Cleaners, both in Monmouth. She also was self employed as a decorator hanging wallpaper and painting for various houses in Galesburg, Little York, and the Monmouth area. She was involved with at least forty-two residences inside or out over a three year period. Lois retired in 1985 due to her health. She is survived by one daughter Peggy L. Leggett of Inverness, Florida and two granddaughters, Debbie Sipf of Chief Land, Florida and Mary Jane Leggett of St. Petersburg, Florida. There are six great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. Her sister Margaret Brinton of Galesburg, Illinois also is surviving. Preceding Lois in her death are her parents and husband, one granddaughter, one grandson, five brothers, and four sisters. Services:A funeral service will be at 10:30 am on Friday June 14, 2013 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, Illinois. Interment will be in Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery. Her family would receive friends for visitation for the hour prior to the funeral service on Friday from 9:30 am to 10:30 am A memorial fund is being established
