Lori A. Holt

Lori A. Holt, age 47, of Monmouth, Illinois; passed away at 1:52 pm on January 6, 2008 at OSF St.Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois. Lori was born on October 7, 1960 in Galesburg, Illinois and is the daughter of Patrick M. and Patricia Noonan Holt. Lori was reared and educated in Galesburg, and attended local schools and graduated from Galesburg High School. She then attended and graduated with a Bachelors degree from Monmouth College where she lettered all four years in Women's Volleyball, Basketball, and Softball. Lori then earned two Masters degrees in Physical Education and Health from Western Illinois University in Macomb and South West Missouri State. She also played for the State of Illinois softball team at the National level for two years. Lori began her career as Head Coach of Women's Volleyball, Basketball, and Softball at Spoon River College. Later she was Head Coach of Softball and Basket at Illinois College at Jacksonville, Illinois. Later Lori was coach and athletic director at Costa Catholic High School in Galesburg for a number of years. Most recently she is a teacher at the Lutheran Preschool and Day Care Center in Monmouth, Illinois for the past eleven years. Lori is an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers, the Boston Celtics, and the St.Louis Cardinals. Lori is a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Monmouth, Illinois Surviving Lori are her Parents Pat and Patricia Holt of Knoxville, Illinois; Five Brothers Frank Felz of Ft.Worth, Texas; Michael Felz and Kimberly of Evanston, Illinois; Paul Felz and Linda of Denver, Colorado; Patrick Felz and Joan of Buffalo Grove, Illinois; and Martin Holt and Joanne of Grant Ranch, Colorado. There are ten Nieces and Nephews surviving and numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. Preceding her in death are her Grandparents. Services:A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church in Monmouth, on Thursday Jan.10th at 10:00 am. Cremation has been accorded. No viewing or visitation is being planned by her family. A memorial fund is being established for the Lutheran Preschool and Day Care Center in Monmouth, Illinois.
