Louise V. Pacelt, age 78, of Oquawka, Illinois passed away at 2:05 am on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at the Monmouth Nursing Home in Monmouth, Illinois. She was born on April 3, 1936 in Blackbird Station, Delaware and is the daughter of Elwood and Pearl George Foraker. She was raised in Blackbird Station and attended the local schools. She graduated from Middletown High School in 1954 and then attended and received certification as a Registered Nurse in Delaware. She married Fred L. Pacelt on October 4, 1958 in Chicago, Illinois and he is surviving. Louise began work at Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware where she was employed for several years. She then moved to Chicago, Illinois and worked at Norwegian American Hospital for a few more years as an RN. Louise then began raising a family and becoming a mother to her husband and children working only occasionally. Louise loved the Mississippi River and moved from Chicago to Sin City, near Oquawka in 1996. Louise loved the river, her gardening and yard landscaping at her home. She was of the Roman Catholic faith. She is survived by her husband, Fred L. Pacelt of Oquawka, Illinois and four sons, Stephen (Laurie) Pacelt of Round Lake, IL; Jeffery (Brenda) Pacelt of Aurora, IL; Kenny Pacelt of Oquawka, IL; and Phil (Trish) Pacelt of West Chicago, IL. There are six grandchildren and one great grandson. Three sisters survive, Pauline Kahall, Delores (Howard) Bud, and Irene Coleman, all in the state of Delaware. She is preceded in death by her parents and four brothers. Services:A funeral mass will be at 1:00 pm at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Aledo, IL. on Saturday, August 23, 2014. Her family plans visitation with the family receiving friends at Turnbull Funeral Home in Oquawka, IL on Friday evening, August 22, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Interment will be in St.Mary's Cemetery in Keithsburg, IL. following the mass. A memorial fund is being established for the Henderson County Cancer Fund.
