Lynn A. Foust

Lynn A. Foust, age 52, of Oquawka, passed away at 5:00 p.m., Monday, June 20, 2011 at her home in Oquawka, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 27, 1958 in Berwyn, Ill., the daughter of Donald P. and Ruth D. Giberson Remick. Lynn graduated from Union High School in Biggsville, Ill. in 1976. She was previously married to Joe Foust. Lynn worked several places including Pittsburgh Paint in Galesburg, Ill. for 12 years, various places in Oquawka including Moores Ag Repair, The Hub restaurant, Parkins Construction, The Pier Bar and Grill, and her favorite job was managing the Slotzhauer Home for 5 years prior to her battle with Melanoma cancer. She was the secretary of the Keithsburg Boat Club. Lynn was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, Pittsburgh Steeler fan, she loved interior decorating, gardening, flower beds and arrangements. She loved to spend time on the river with family and friends. Lynn was of the Methodist faith. Lynn is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Foust of Oquawka, her mother Ruth Remick of Oquawka, sisters; Lore Dickens (Stan) of Davenport, Ia., Karen Slater (Bill) of Oquawka, Rhonda Olson (Bill) of Oquawka, one brother Rodney Remick of Oquawka, and her Fiance' Bernie Millen of Oquawka. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her father. Services:A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 24, 2011 at the Turnbull Funeral Home in Oquawka. Interment will be in Oquawka Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday evening at Turnbulls in Oquawka where her family will be present to receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. A memorial fund has been established for the Henderson County Hospice or the Oquawka Methodist Church.
