M. Jean Winbigler

Marion Jean Winbigler, age 87, died Thursday January 23, 2014 at Galesburg Terrace in Galesburg, Illinois. She was born November 12, 1926 in Monmouth, the daughter of Harry and Bertie Bates Winbigler. Marion received her Associate Degree from Blackburn College and her Bachelor Degree from Monmouth College, with a double major in Spanish and French. She had a two year appointment in the Consular Section of the U.S.Embassy in Belgrade, Yugoslavia. Survivors include her sister-in-law, Pauline Winbigler, of Monmouth, along with seven nieces and seven nephews. She was preceded in death by hger parents, two sisters, Helen Stuckey-Noecker and Martha Winbigler; and two brothers, Lloyd and Hugh Winbigler. Services:Cremation has been accorded. There will be a grave side services at a later date at the Monmouth Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled through the Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, Illinois
