Mable A Johnson

Mable A. Johnson, age 88, of Monmouth, Illinois; passed away at 6:00 pm at her Monmouth residence on January 12, 2011. Mable was born November 5, 1922 in Topeka, Kansas and is the daughter of Fred and Lydia Myers Dougherty. She was raised in Topeka and attended local schools through High School. She then attended the Kansas City College in Overland Park, Kansas. Mable married J. Prescott Johnson on June 9, 1943 in Kansas City, Missouri. He is surviving. Mable was first and foremost a mother and homemaker to her husband and family. She in earlier years was employed at various times as secretary by Hallmark Cards in Kansas City, Kansas; Washington National Insurance Company in Evanston, Illinois; and Agar Insurance of Norman, Oklahoma. Mable is survived by her husband J. Prescott Johnson of Monmouth, two daughters Beth (Thomas) Booth of Monmouth and Carol (Alan) Hull of Camdenton, Missouri, and one son Paul (Vicki) Johnson of Galesburg, Illinois. There are six grandchildren surviving and Seven Great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, and one brother. Services:No funeral service is currently being planned by her family. Cremation is to be accorded.
