Margaret S. "Marge" Reading, age 80, of Monmouth, Illinois, passed away at 9:07 a.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2009, at Roseville Country Manor in Roseville, Ill. Marge was born on January 12, 1929, in Whitehall, New York and is the daughter of Gordon and Edith Jordan Keyworth. She served in the United States Navy from 1950 - 1953. Marge was employed as a secretary at Huskee Built in Monmouth. Marge, with her life long companion Virginia Reading., owned numerous businesses and properties in Monmouth for many years. She was very active in the Warren County Humane Society. Marge was a member of First Christian Church in Monmouth. Marge enjoyed spending time with her family especially her granddaughter, Jessica and great grandson Nathan. She enjoyed her porch swing and being outside, eating sea food and crab cakes, reading, and visiting back home on the East Coast. She also enjoyed traveling, chocolate milk shakes from DQ and Rod Stewart. Marge is survived by one son Adam Reading and Valerie of Riverview, Florida, her three grandchildren, Jessica Reading and fiance Brian Williams of Monmouth, Sydney and Andrew Reading of Riverview, three great grandchildren, Nathan, Alayna, and Tyler, and one brother William Keyworth of Ipswich, Mass. A number of nieces and nephews also survive. Marge is preceded in death by her parents, one brother Philip, and her life long companion, Virginia. Services:A funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2009, at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. Marge's family will be present to receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday prior to the service at Turnbull's. Cremation will be accorded following the service.
