Margaret E Orth

Margaret E. Orth, age 91, of Monmouth, Illinois passed away at 11:40 pm on Sunday December 16, 2012 at the Monmouth Nursing Home in Monmouth, IL. Margaret was born on March 4, 1921 in rural Mercer County, and is the daughter of Merle and Catherine Sprout Tracy. Margaret was reared and educated in Mercer County schools through High School. She was married to James E. Orth on February 18, 1939 in Monmouth, Illinois and he preceded her in death on October 9, 2000. Margaret was a farm wife helping her husband in the grain and livestock operation in Norwood and Seaton areas. She was very active in her church, the Norwood United Presbyterian Church as it was her life. She and her husband Jim were active also many years in the Mercer County Fair in Aledo, Illinois. Surviving Margaret is her son Neil (Diane) Orth of Kansas City, Missouri and daughter Rosemary Orth of Monmouth, Illinois. She has three grandchildren Scott (Michelle) Orth in Kansas City, Missouri, Brian Orth in Crawfordsville, Indiana, and Jaime (Matt) Lane of Huntley, Montana. There are five great grandchildren also surviving. She is proceeded in death by her parents and a brother Merle Tracy. Services:The service time was mistakenly annouced at 2:00 pm which is in error. It is to be at 10:30 am Friday ........ A funeral service will be on Friday December 21, 2012 at 10:30 am at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, Illinois. Interment will be in the Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery. Her family plans visitation on Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. A memorial fund is being established for her church, the Norwood United Presbyterian Church.
