Margaret Ann "Pug" Johnson

Margaret A. "Pug" Johnson, age 82, of Biggsville, passed away at 8:42 a.m., Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at the Galesburg Cottage Hospital. She was born on June 16, 1928 in Princeton, IL, the daughter of Ernest and Marion Gingery Borg. She was reared and educated in Biggsville and attended Biggsville High School. Margaret married Edwin Gene "Swede" Johnson on December 20, 1945 in Burlington, Ia., he survives. Margaret worked at Admiral's in Galesburg for over 20 years. She was also a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and baking. Margaret is survived by her husband Edwin "Swede" Johnson of Biggsville, Sons; Jerry Johnson of Marie, Ia, Robert Johnson of Biggsville, IL, and Ed Johnson (Dori) of Burlington, Ia. Also surviving are six grandchildren, four step grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and one sister Eleanor Bailey of Gladstone, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents. A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 18, 2010 at the Biggsville Cemetery. No calling hours are planned. A memorial fund has been established for the Biggsville Methodist Church or the Biggsville Ambulance Service.
