Margie L. Cameron, age 81, of Oquawka, passed away at 3:40 p.m., Saturday, February 26, 2011 at her residence. She was born on April 13, 1929 in Raritan, Ill., the daughter of John and Merle Wolford Avery. Margie was reared and educated in the Oquawka area. She married Willis Cameron on June 21, 1947 in New Boston, Ill., he preceded her in death on November 29, 1997. Margie worked at both Monmouth Stoneware and the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant. She enjoyed fishing, traveling, and most of all spending time with her family and friends. Margie was a volunteer at the Henderson County Food Pantry. She is survived by two sons; Ronald Cameron (Mary) and Mick Cameron (Connie) both of Oquawka, two daughters; Bonnie McCabe (Donald) of Biggsville, Ill., and Vicky Bushong (Tony) of East Moline, Ill. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren, five brothers, and two sisters. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and two brothers. Services:A graveside funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at the Oquawka Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Turnbull Funeral Home in Oquawka where her family will be present to receive friends.
