Marianne Switzer

Marianne Switzer, age 66, of Monmouth, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2010, at her residence. On November 9, 1943, Marianne was born in Monmouth, the daughter of Edward and Gloria Britton Switzer. Reared in Monmouth, Marianne attended Monmouth Public Schools. Marianne was a cook at Meling's Restaurant in Monmouth her whole career until she retired. She loved cats, dogs and animals in general. Marianne loved spending time with nieces and nephews especially on holidays. She enjoyed traveling and going to the boat. Surviving are one brother, Carl (Jane) Switzer of Monmouth, two nieces Tammy (Tim) Mason of Kirkwood, Ill., Mandy Switzer of Monmouth, three nephews, Jeff Hindman of Stronghurst, Ill., Jake Switzer and Luke Switzer both of Monmouth. Several great nieces and great nephews also survive. Preceding Marianne are her parents, and one sister, Joyce Goff. Services:Cremation has been accorded. A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. A memorial fund is being established. Interment of ashes will be at a later date.
