Mary Kay Lovdahl-Jones

Mary Kay Lovdahl Jones, age 53, of Oquawka, Illinois; passed away at her Oquawka residence on March 24, 2010 at 1:55 am. She was born on February 16, 1957 in Monmouth, the daughter of Creighton and Barbara Icenogle Lovdahl. Mary Kay was reared and educated in Monmouth, she graduated from Monmouth High School in 1975. She married Russell L. Jones on March 19, 1978 in Springville, Ut., he survives. Mary Kay first worked at Quality Tire in Orem, Ut. for 7 years as the office manager. She then worked at Diamond Greenhouse in Springville, Ut. for 5 years, and finally she went to work for Walmart for 6 years in Utah and then in Burlington, Ia. once returning to the area in June of 2008. She was a member of the Rozetta Baptist Church. Mary Kay enjoyed gardening, photography, and spending time with her family. Surviving Mary Kay is her husband Russ Jones of Oquawka, Ill., one daughter Rebecca Bearnson (Bjarn) of Woodland Hills, Ut., one granddaughter Macy Kay Bearnson of Woodland Hills, Ut., her parents Creighton and Barbara Lovdahl of Monmouth, two sisters; Linda Lofdahl (Dave) of Lynn Center, Ill., Kathie Arthur (Dick) of Monmouth, three brothers; Mike Lovdahl of San Diego, Ca., Jon Lovdahl (Linda) of Monmouth, and Brian Lovdahl (Amy) of Champaign, Ill. She was preceded in death by her son, Joshua Dale Jones. Services:A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. Interment will be in Monmouth Cemetery. Her family will be present Monday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Turnbulls in Monmouth to receive friends.
