Mary Lou Pavlic, age 84, of Monmouth, Illinois, passed away at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2008, at the OSF Holy Family Medical Center in Monmouth. Mary Lou was born on November 24, 1923, in Monmouth the daughter of Ralph J. and Mabel Hilsenhoff Redmond. She was reared and educated in Monmouth and attended Monmouth Public Schools, graduating from Monmouth High School in 1941. Mary Lou first married Dale Smith in June 19, 1945. She later married Louis Pavlic on March 20, 1967. Mary Lou first worked at Midwest Manufacturing from 1952 - 1978. After her retirement Mary Lou enjoyed her time working at the Buchanan Center for the Arts for 8 years. Mary Lou was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church in Monmouth, and she appreciated the many relationships she had with her friends at the church, Oak Terrace, and Costello. Her life was enriched by the loving care she received from her home health care givers. Mary Lou is survived by her daughter Daleanne (Myron) Simpson of Cape Coral, Florida, two grandsons, Jerry Clark of Springfield, Illinois and Steven Clark of Santa Barbara, California, one sister-in-law Helen Redmond of Monmouth, cousin Dorothy Ann Hill, and other cousins, nieces and nephews and many special friends at Oak Terrace. She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Donald, James and Ralph Redmond. Services:A funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 31, 2008, at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. till the time of service at 2:00, where her family will be present to receive friends. Interment will be in Monmouth Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Buchanan Center for the Arts or Immanuel Baptist Church in Monmouth.
