Mary Lou Welty

Mary Lou Welty, age 73, of Galesburg, Ill., passed away at 5:11 p.m. on Friday, February 12, 2010, at Cottage Hospital in Galesburg. On May 15, 1936, Mary Lou was born in Monmouth, Ill., the daughter of Charles E. and Juanita M. Finch Welty, Sr. Mary was reared in Monmouth, graduated from Monmouth High School and attended Bible College. Mary Lou was an Assembly of God ordained minister and served as a paster in Rushville, Ill. Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, Robinson, Ill. and Monmouth. She enjoyed playing the piano. The Lord was her passion. Surviving Mary Lou are one sister Elizabeth Kittelson of Florida and one brother Robert (Adrian) D. Welty of California. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews Preceding her in death are her parents, two brothers Charles Welty, Jr. and John M. Welty. Services:A graveside service with interment will be at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 17, 2010, in the Monmouth Cemetery. No calling hours or visitation are planned by the family. A memorial fund is being established.
