Max Stuart Martin

Max Stuart Martin, age 64, of Monmouth, Illinois; passed away on June 11, 2012 at his residence. Max was born February 2, 1948 in Quincy, Illinois and is the son of Roy Otis and Evelyn Dunbar Martin. Max was raised in Paxton, Illinois and attended local schools and graduated from Paxton High School. Max worked for a number of years in the print shop at the Daily Review Atlas in Monmouth, Illinois. He also drove a taxi for the Maple City Cab Company for a time. Max was an avid Green Bay Packers Fan and enjoyed Ducks Unlimited. He enjoyed visiting with his friends and playing video games. Surviving Max is his sister, Chris Way-Moore (Jeff) of Monmouth, Illinois; two nieces, Stephanie Burris of Monmouth and Melinda Bonner (Larel) of Lawton, Oklahoma. Two nephews Robert Way (Jessica) and Tyler Way, both of Monmouth. Great nieces and nephews survive to include Zoei Burris, Nicholas and Brielle Bonner, and Andrew and Carmyn Way. A number of Aunts and Uncles also are surviving. He is preceded in death by his parents and one niece. Services:A memorial service will be on Friday June 15th, at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, IL at 10:30 am. Cremation has been accorded. His family plans to receive friends for the hour prior to the memorial service at the funeral home from 9:30 to 10:30 am. A memorial fund is being established by his family.
