Maxine M. Hawk

Maxine M. Hawk, age 82, of Monmouth, Ill. passed away at 5:06 p.m. on Monday, May 11, 2009 at the Monmouth Nursing Home in Monmouth. Maxine was born on February 25, 1927, in Smithshire the daughter of Charles E. and Margaret Williams Hawk. Maxine was raised in Monmouth and attended Monmouth Public Schools. Maxine was retired a Nurses Aide first working at Monmouth Hospital for 15 years and for 10 years at Monmouth Nursing Home. Maxine loved to walk and visit with her friends. She was a friend to many. Maxine is survived by her sisters, Mrs. Arlo Hull (Ruth) of Roseville, Ill., Mrs. Kenneth Johnson (Joan) of Galesburg, Ill., and Mrs. Stanley Fowler (Helen) of Monmouth, Ill. Also surviving Maxine are numerous nephews and nieces. Maxine is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, three sisters and an infant twin brother. Services:A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2009, at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. Interment will be in Warren County Memorial Park in Monmouth. Maxines's family will be present to receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Turnbull's. A memorial fund is being established for either Monmouth Nursing Home or Roseville Church of the Nazarene.
