Maxine Norma Lybarger, age 89, of Monmouth, was called home at 3:50 a.m., January 1, 2009, while a resident at the Monmouth Nursing Home. She was born on November 6, 1919 to Chester and Mary Icenogle Ross, Sr. She was reared and educated in the Roseville area. Maxine married Louis C. Lybarger Jr. on April 3, 1937. Maxine was a homemaker and lead a very busy life raising her 10 children. She was also a grandmother to 23, and a great grandmother to 37. She is survived by 4 daughters; Barbara and her husband Lee Brown of Decatur, IL, Carol and her husband David Cook of Monmouth, Janice and her husband Gary Robbins of Biggsville, IL, Judy Simpson and Lloyd Wall of Monmouth. 5 sons; Gary Lybarger and his wife Connie of Monmouth, Larry Lybarger and his wife Margaret of Colorado Springs, CO, Donnie Lybarger and his wife Robbin of Monmouth, Vic Lybarger and his wife Pam of Monmouth, Dave Lybarger and his wife Rhonda of Monmouth, 1 sister, Marilyn Kneen of Monmouth, 1 sister-in-law, Phylis Ross of Carbondale, IL, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, son John "Hop" Lybarger, brother, Chester Ross, Jr., sister Dorothy Needham and great granddaughter Kristen Marie Simpson. Services:A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 6, 2008, at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. Her family will be present from 10:00 a.m. till the time of the service to receive friends. Interment will be in Warren County Memorial Park in Monmouth. A memorial fund is being established for either the Alzheimers Association or to the Monmouth Nursing Home.
