Melvin G. Seitz

Melvin G. Seitz, age 90, of Stronghurst, Illinois, passed away at 8:40 AM on Monday, December 30, 2019 at Oak Lane Nursing and Rehab in Stronghurst. He was born March 3, 1929 in Gladstone, Illinois the son of Edith Muriel Seitz. Melvin was educated in Gladstone and G&O High School. on October 8, 1976, he married Viola Anne Slover in Peoria, Illinois, and she preceded him in death on January 11, 2009. Melvin retired from Chittenden & Eastman in Burlington, Iowa. He was a member of the Eagles Club.
Melvin is survived by numerous cousins. He is preceded in death by his mother, his wife Viola, and his sister Jane.
To honor Melvin's wishes no services are being planned. Cremation is being accorded. A memorial is being established for Oak Lane Nursing and Rehab in Stronghurst, Illinois.
