Nancy L. Oaks

Nancy Oaks, age 62. of Rozetta, Ill., passed away at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2009, at her residence. Nancy was born on November 11, 1946, in Harrisburg, Pa., the daughter of Rudy C. and Evelyn E. Sipe Shadle. She reared and educated in Pennsylvania . Nancy married Lester Oaks on July 3. 2001 in Oquawka, Ill. He survives. Nancy was a homemaker in her own home. Her main interest was her children, and grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and sewing. She found great joy in making people happy. For 12 years, Nancy worked at the Oak Lane Nursing and Rehab in Stronghurst, Ill., as the Social Service Director. Besides her husband Lester, she is survived by two daughters, Tami (Bryan) Epley of Monmouth, Ill., Brenda (Greg) Close of Reynolds, Ill., three sons, Robert Ainsworth of Kansas City, Mo., Jeffrey (Melanie) Ainsworth of Little York, Ill., and Dennis Oaks of Keithsburg, Ill. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Brianne Ainsworth, Skyler Goodwin, Alecia Hawkins, Kristin Ainsworth, Jeffrey Ainsworth, Jr., Devlin Ainsworth, Barbara Close and Nicholas Close. Nancy is preceded in death by parents and one son Steven. Services:A funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2009, at Turnbull Funeral Home in Biggsville, Ill., Interment will be in the Biggsville Cemetery. Nancy family will be present to receive friends from 2:00 to 2:30 on Saturday, prior to the service. There are no calling hours on Friday. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established for Community Hospice of America.
