Opal W. Tee

Opal Wynona Tee, age 82, of Oquawka, Ill. passed away at 10:03 a.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2009, at Monmouth Nursing Home, in Monmouth, Ill. She was born on January 24, 1927, in Keithsburg, Ill. the daughter of Roy Vernon and Hazel McNall Whitehall. Opal was raised and educated in Keithsburg. In 1941 Opal married Dale F. Tee on December 20th in Kahoka, Missouri. He preceded her in death on January 28, 2004. Opal worked for a time as a seamstress at Formfit in Monmouth. Later she worked as a secretary in the office of the Sheriff's Department. She also worked as a cook at the Village Hub in Oquawka. Opal loved to knit and do needle point and crocheting. She enjoyed making pies. Opal is survived by one daughter: Cheryl Lynn Tee Bradford and Robert of Orlando, Florida, two sons: Gary Dale Tee of Cape Canaveral, Florida and Anthony Kent Tee and Theresa of Oquawka, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren: Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and one sister and 5 brothers. Opal is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son David Michael Tee and three sisters and one brother. Services:A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 27, 2009, at Turnbull Funeral Home in Oquawka. Interment will be in the Oquawka Cemetery. Opal's family will be present to receive friends from 9:00 to 11:00 on Monday morning at Turnbull's in Oquawka. A memorial fund is being established for Compassus Hospice.
