Patricia A. Metcalf

Patricia A. Metcalf, age 51, of Burlington, Iowa; passed away at 3:45 pm on Friday May 11, 2018 at University Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa. Patty was born on January 20, 1967 in Monmouth, Illinois and is the daughter of Martin D. and Susan D. Giddings Metcalf. Patricia was educated in Special Education in Hope Haven and also Central Avenue, both in Burlington, Iowa. She loved to go camping and went camping every summer. She loved to go out and eat, and watch movies in her home. She dearly loved babies and her sister Vicki. Patty is survived by her parents, Martin and Susan Metcalf of Burlington, Iowa and her sister Vicki (Matt) Hassert of Loveland, Ohio. Also surviving is her grandmother, Georgia Metcalf of Monmouth and three nephews, Antonio Apodaca from California, and Nikolas and Caden Apodaca, both of Loveland, Ohio. Her step nephews survive, Nathan and Michael Hassert, both of Loveland, Ohio and her aunt, Peggy (Bob) Bunfill of Palmyra, Missouri. One uncle survives, Mike (Kim) Giddings of Monmouth, Illinois and a number of other relatives. She is preceded in her death by her grandfather, Martin Metcalf and grandparents, "Bash" Sabastian and Maxine Giddings. A funeral service for Patricia will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday May 16, 2018 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, Illinois. Interment will be in the Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery. Her family plans visitation and will receive friends from 9:00 to 10:00 am prior to the service at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth.
