Patrick D. Dawson

Patrick Donald Dawson, 46, of Galesburg, Illinois, died at 12:42 p.m. on June 25, 2025 in the emergency room at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg.

Patrick was born May 3, 1979 in Galesburg, the son of Michael Willis and Candace Lynn (St. George) Dawson. He graduated from Galesburg High School in 1997. He worked as a cook at numerous places in and around Galesburg, last working at the Brickyard Bar and Grill. His last two working years were spent at Innovative Productions.

Patrick married Jennifer Marie Roach on October 19, 2013 in Salisbury Beach Massachusetts. Patrick is survived by his wife, Jennifer of Galesburg; as well two children, Dakota and Riley both at home; his twin brother, Michael Dawson of Galesburg; and a sister, Andrea Dawson of Galesburg. He is also survived by his mother, Candy Dawson of Galesburg; a stepdaughter, Charvel (Aaron) Baughman of Galesburg; two nieces, Aaliyah and Abbey; one nephew, Alex; and a plethora of great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his beloved cat, Miller time. Patrick was preceded in death by his father and his dog, Daisy.

Patrick was an avid sports fan. He loved to cheer for the Chicago Cubs and Bears and enjoyed watching NASCAR as well as WWE wrestling. Patrick will be long remembered for having a great sense of humor and a good friend. Most of all, Patrick loved being with his family spending time at home and having a good BBQ in his backyard.

A celebration of life will begin 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 20, 2025 at the Corral, 1685 Grand Ave., Galesburg, Illinois.
