Pauline I. Conant

Pauline I. Conant, age 101, passed away on May 7, 2015 in Richmond, Indiana. She was born on August 25, 1913 in Warren County, Illinois, the daughter of Ernest and Norma (Elliott) Ischer. Mrs. Conant was raised in the Berwick, Illinois area and graduated from Roseville High School. She also attended Brown's Business College in Galesburg, IL. On April 16, 1938, she married John B. Conant in Columbia, Missouri and he preceded her in death in 1977. Mrs. Conant first was a banker at the Monmouth Trust and Savings Bank in Monmouth. After moving to Lawrenceburg, IN, she was the assistant librarian at the local library. In retirement, they lived in the Lehigh Acres, FL, where she was a member of the Community Congregational Church for a number of years. She loved to travel. Mr. Conant is survived by her son, John B. Conant, Jr. of Richmond and two grandchildren. A number of cousins are also surviving. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John, four brothers, and one sister. Services:Cremation was accorded in Indiana at the time of her death. A graveside committal service is planned for 10:00 am on Friday, September 25, 2015 at the Roseville Cemetery in Roseville, Illinois. Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth is in charge of arrangements.
