Peggy S. Dewitt

Peggy Sue DeWitt, 65, of Galesburg, Illinois, died at 9:55 p.m. Sunday, September 29, 2024 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg.

Peggy was born June 3, 1959 in Peoria, Illinois, the daughter of Jay D. and Marian L. (Enlow) DeWitt. Peggy is survived by three sisters, Teresa DeWitt of Galesburg, Vicki DeWitt of Macomb, Illinois, and Lori Guel of Galesburg; one brother, Travis “Mike” DeWitt of Abingdon, Illinois; several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her grandparents, Maurice and Louise Enlow and Eugene and Della DeWitt.

Peggy worked at the Galesburg DD Homes as a DSP for several years and later worked at Bridgeway in Galesburg. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, shopping, and thrifting.

Cremation will be accorded. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
