Phyllis P. Brent

Phyllis P. Brent, age 82, of Oquawka, Illinois, passed away at 6:20 P.M. on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at her residence in Oquawka. She was born on November 22, 1936, the daughter of Durward and Leila Tyner. Phyllis was raised in the Southern Illinois and Peoria, Illinois areas. On January 19, 1977, Phyllis married Roy Brent in Oquawka, Illinois and he survives. Phyllis last worked at Riley Brothers Painting in West Burlington, Iowa. She was a homemaker. Phyllis is survived by her husband of 42 years, Roy, daughter Kim Brent of Oquawka, IL, grandson Sheldon Barker, son LeRoy (Anita) Brent and family of Oquawka, IL, daughter Roshena (Raymond) Link and family of Oquawka, IL, daughter Jan Hoskins and family of Burlington, IA, and son Rick (Jeanne) Hoskins and family of Keithsburg, IL. Also surviving are brothers Victor (Sue) Tyner and Harry (Amy) Tyner. She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, and her puppies Pigeon 1 and Pigeon 2. As were her wishes, cremation is being accorded. No visitation or funeral services are planned. Memorials in may be made in Phyllis's name to the Henderson County Humane Society.
