Phyllis L. Clark

Phyllis L. Clark, age 87, formerly of Monmouth, Illinois, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2011 at the Baytree Care and Rehabilitation Center, in Palm Harbor, Florida. Phyllis was born on March 30, 1924 in Monmouth, Illinois. Her parents were William O. and Charlotte G. (Romine) Gillan of Monmouth, Illinois. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 4 sisters. Phyllis married C. Robert Clark on June 2, 1945 in Eleanor, Illinois, who also preceded her in death in 1999. Her last full-time employment was with Faith United Presbyterian Church as an Administrative Assistant. While living in Monmouth, she was a member of Faith United Presbyterian Church and served as an Elder and President of Presbyterian Women. Phyllis is survived by 3 sons, Michael of Palm Harbor, Florida, Randall of Bloomingdale, Illinois, and Jeffrey Jay of Lake Ozark, Missouri, 6 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. She enjoyed part-time employment with the Warren County Extension Office, square dancing with the Ramblin Roses, and participating in the Macomb Personal Computer Club. Phyllis moved from Monmouth to Lake Ozark, Missouri in 2006 and then to Palm Harbor, Florida in 2007 where she was a member of the Church on the Bayou, Tarpon Springs, Florida. Services:A memorial service will be held at Faith United Presbyterian Church, Monmouth, Illinois on Saturday October 29, 2011, 10:30 am, followed by a graveside service for the committal of her ashes at Warren County Memorial Park Cemetery concluded by a fellowship time with family and friends at Faith United Presbyterian Church. Arrangements have been made with Turnbull Funeral Home of Monmouth, Illinois. Memorial donations may be made to Presbyterian Women of Faith United Presbyterian Church.
