Ramona J. Wilson

Ramona J. Wilson, age 79, of Keithsburg, Illinois; passed away at 1:30 pm on May 29, 2011 at her Keithsburg residence. She was born on April 24, 1932 in Coffeen, Illinois and is the daughter of Levi Thomas and Stella Wanda Dankowski Casey. She was raised by her father and step mother, Levi and June Casey. She was married to Richard G. Wilson on June 5, 1952 in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death on November 16, 2000. Ramona was a mother and homemaker for her family and for a time was employed as a waitress at the at Pheasant Run Playhouse, St. Charles Illinois. She enjoyed gardening, flowers,crocheting, and like to cook. Two daughters survive Sheila (Neal) Lage of Millington, Illinois and Lisa (James) Leathers of Danville, Iowa. Four Sons survive, Dan (Carol) Wilson of Lockport, IL, James (Kimberly) Wilson of Aurora, IL, Shawn (Sharon) Wilson of Aurora, IL, and Patrick (Marianne)Wilson of Keithsburg, Illinois. There is one step daughter Kathy Wilson and one step son Rick Wilson, both of Rhinelander, Wisconsin. Eighteen grandchildren, fourteen great grand children. She has a sister, Gwendolyn (Bill) Forrester and brothers Ronald (Bonnie) Casey and Bud (Carol) Casey both of Oquawka, Illinois. Also surviving are two sister in laws Wanda Casey of Oqauawka, Illinois and Carol Casey of Ozark, Illinois A number of nieces and nephews also are surviving. She is preceded in death by her parents Levi and June Casey and Stella Wanda Dankowski Casey, husband Richard G. Wilson , one son Joseph Wilson,three brothers; Joseph Casey, Larry Casey, Terry Casey, and two grandchildren, Justin Lage and Jenna Leathers. Services:A funeral service will be at the Keithsburg Christian Church on Saturday June 4th at 10:30 am. Interment will follow in the Greenmound Cemetery of Keithsburg. Her family plans to receive friends prior to the service at the Keithsburg Christian Church from 9:00 am to the hour of service. Turnbull Funeral Home in Oquawka is in charge of the arrangements.
