Randy L. Schisler

Randy L. Schisler, age 59, of Galesburg, Illinois; passed away at 5:25 pm on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at his Galesburg residence. Randy was born on December 26, 1954 in Colchester, Illinois and is the son of Gilbert P. and Virginia L. Schisler. Randy was raised in Monmouth where he attended public schools. He was employed at Warren Achievement Industries for a number of years. Randy also was very active and loved the Special Olympics and he was very proud of his medals. He was and avid Cubs Fan and loved sports, especially baseball and football. He is survived by two uncles, Dick Brown of Monmouth, IL and Charles (Kathy) Brown of Bartonville, IL. Two sister in laws, Barbara Schisler of Monmouth, and Cheryl Schisler of Greenfield, Indiana. There are three nephews, Bryan and Brent Schisler of Burlington, IA and Jeremy Schisler of Greenfield, IN. and three nieces, Angela Schisler of Burlington, IA, Jaime (Robert) Axum of Greenfield, IN; and Michele (Russell) Jenkins of Beech Grove, IN. There are also several great nieces and nephews and other cousins. He is preceded in his death by his parents, two brothers, six aunts, six uncles, and his niece Amy Schisler. Services:A memorial service for Randy will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, Illinois. His family plans a visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 pm and will be present to receive friends prior to the funeral service. Cremation is being accorded. Interment of his ashes will be in Warren County Memorial Park at a later date. A memorial fund will be designated at a later date.
