Richard E. Buckert

Richard E. Buckert, age 37, of Galesburg, Illinois; passed away on December 18th at his Galesburg residence. He was born July 5, 1973 in Monmouth, Illinois and is the son of Raymond Dale and Nancy Kay Shaub Buckert. He was raised in Monmouth, and attended Monmouth Schools graduating from Monmouth High School in 1991. He first married Angie Melvin and later was married to Laura Lindsay. Richard first worked for Cameron Grain Company for a time. Richard had a life long fascination with anything electronic and worked for LaSalle Electronics in Galesburg, for a time in sales and service. He then served in parts and service for Bob Lindsay Honda Toyota in Galesburg for a time. Most recently he was employed as service manager for Lexus in Peoria, Illinois. Richard also was known for assembling installation of sound systems for both autos and businesses. He is survived by his mother Nancy Bohn (Ralph) of Monmouth, Illinois, and one son Alek Buckert of Monmouth, Illinois. His grandmother Rose Trimble and sister Kellie Buckert (Tim Matthews) of Monmouth, Illinois, both of Monmouth, Illinois. One step sister survives, Margaret Kannon (Rocky) of Dartmouth, Massachusetts, and two step brothers Andrew Bohn (Melissa) of Norfolk, Virginia and Adam Bohn of Lynn, Massachusetts. There also are a number of nieces and nephews surviving. He is preceded in death by his father, Grandfathers Virgil Shaub and Robert Trimble, grandparents Richard and Celia Irey Buckert and uncle Richard W. Buckert. Services:A funeral service will be on Wednesday December 29th at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, at 3:00 pm. Cremation will then be accorded following the service. His family plans to receive friends from 1:30 to 3:00 prior to the service at Turnbulls. A memorial fund is being established by his family.
