Richard "Rick" Dean Williams, 55, of Ft. Worth, Tx, passed away unexpectedly Friday, June 17. Richard was born July 29, 1955, in Monmouth, to Harold Eugene and Rosemary Leary Williams. He was raised in Little York and attended Yorkwood Schools. He graduated from Yorkwood High School in 1973. Richard married Elaine Christine Brissey on February 14, 1976. He has one daughter, Andrea Williams. Rick moved to Texas with his family in 1982. They later moved to Colorado for a period of time but returned to Texas in 1995. During his adult life he returned to school part-time while continuing to work a full-time job. After years of hard work and dedication, he graduated with honors from DeVry Institute in the Spring of 2001 with a degree in Computer Information Systems. Rick had a variety of jobs in his lifetime, from farming, which he loved above all others, driving a truck, a tractor mechanic and in various positions in manufacturing in the maintenance department. He went to work for Nestle Waters, Neb., in 1997, and his most recent position was as a Supervisor in the Maintenance Department. Rick was known for and will be remembered for his strong Midwestern work ethic and dedication to his job. Rick loved many kinds of sports but his favorites were football and baseball. He enjoyed playing softball and played on two recreational teams in Euless, Texas. He also enjoyed fishing, shooting skeet and time spent enjoying a few adult beverages with his family and friends. He lovingly shared his home with a number of cats and served as a foster dad to kitties awaiting adoption through a local animal rescue group, Little Orphan Angels of Keller. He is preceded in death by his father, Harold E. Williams, and his grandparents, William Joseph and Lois Leary and Alexander and Helen Williams. Survivors include his wife, Elaine of Fort Worth; daughter, Andrea of Arlington; mother, Rosemary Williams of Smithshire; brother, Ronald Williams and wife, Nancy, of Logansport, Ind.; sister, Nancy Berglund of Monmouth; nieces, Jessica Williams, Michelle Berglund and Erin Dixon; nephew, Robert Williams and wife, Bridgett Williams; great-niece, Mayla Williams; and beloved kitties, Phoebe, Sheldon, Cassie, Lucky Charm and Buttons. Services:A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 9, 2011 at the Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. The family requests that memorials in Rick's name be made to Little Orphan Angels Animal Rescue, www.littleorphanangels.org, or mailed to 8553 North Beach Steet, PMB 292, Keller, Texas 76244. Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth is in charge of the local arrangements.
