Ricky Lee Buchanan

Ricky Lee Buchanan, age 56, of Galesburg, Illinois, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2008, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois. Ricky was born on November 12, 1952, in Burlington, Iowa, the son of William and Mildred Christy Buchanan. Ricky was raised in Burlington and attended Burlington High School. Ricky was a Park Maintenance man at Goose Lake Prairie State Park in Morris, Illinois for about five years. He then was an "over the road" truck driver for several transportation companies in the area. He also is an avid Chicago Bears fan. Ricky is survived by one brother Jeffrey Buchanan of Galesburg. A number of cousins survive including Cindy Burns and Mike of Galesburg, Illinois Ricky is preceded in death by his parents and one brother Dennis. Services:Cremation has been accorded. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Turnbull Funeral Home in Oquawka is in charge of the arrangements.
