Ricky Lee Robbins

Ricky L. Robbins, age 52, of Monmouth, passed away at 12:46 a.m., Sunday, June 12, 2011 at his residence in Monmouth. He was born on May 21, 1959 in Monmouth, he is the son of Cecil "Bill" and Mary Garner Robbins. He was reared and educated in Monmouth. He earned his GED in 1996. Ricky married Toni Kay Bresnahan on May 23, 1981, she survives. He worked as a mechanic for many years. Ricky worked the last 15 years for the BNSF railroad. He loved to fish and hunt. He was known for his great scene of humor. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his kids, grand kids, and his bird dog Jazzy. Ricky is survived by his wife Toni Kay Robbins of Monmouth, one daughter Rachel Robbins of Monmouth, sons; Raleigh Robbins, Ramsey Robbins, and Rory Robbins all of Monmouth. One grandson Jordan Brian Robbins of Monmouth, and a granddaughter on the way. Also surviving is his sister Sandra Kay Mullen of Kirkwood, brother-in-law John Bresnahan, and in-laws John Bresnahan (Pat) of Monmouth. Ricky was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, and two brothers; Brian "Dean" Robbins of Oquawka, and Tom Lee of Alexis. Services:A gathering of family and friends will be on Wednesday evening, June 15, 2011, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. Cremation will be accorded following the gathering. A memorial fund is being established by his family.
