Robert John Bergthold

Robert J. Bergthold, age 60. of Monmouth, Illinois passed away on October 11, 2013 at his daughters residence in Monmouth. Robert was born May 15, 1953 in Ft.Madison, Iowa and is the son of Carl H. and Eleanor E McLean Bergthold. He was raised in Ft. Madison and attended local schools and his school for the deaf. Robert assisted his local frineds at several of the local taverns in Oquawka, Illinois. He loved playing slot machines and being on "Facebook". He loved his family and friends most. He is survived by his daughter, Samantha (Jerry Fye) Siens of Monmouth, Illinois and her granddaughter Zoey Siens. His girl friend Ora May Siens also is surviving. He is preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers and three sisters. Services:As with his wishes, cremation has been accorded, and a memorial service is planned at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth on Thursday October 17. 2013 at 2:00 pm A visitation is planned from 1:00 to 2:00 for the hour prior to the service at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, Illinois. A memorial fund is being established by his family and may be left at the funeral home, with the service.
