Robert W. "Bobby" Pierce

Robert "Bobby" Pierce, age 45, of Oquawka, Illinois, passed away at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 in Oquawka. He was born on October 12, 1967 in Monmouth, Illinois, the son of Robert Walter and Neva Sue (Keever) Pierce. Bobby was raised in Monmouth and Gladstone where he attended public schools and high school. Bobby was employed by Twomey Company at the Gladstone facility. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, being out of doors. He most especially, spending time with his family at cookouts. Bobby is survived by two brothers, Tony Pierce of Oquawka and John (Heather) Hernandez of Biggsville, one sister, Nicky Hernandez of Burlington, two step-brothers, Chris Pierce (Kari) of Oquawka, and Shannon Tapscott of Chicago, a step-sister, Tracy Tapscott of Monmouth and his grandfather, Lyle A. Keever of Gladstone. Also surviving are a number of Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and a number of aunts and uncles. Services:Cremation is being accorded. A graveside service is planned for Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 10:00 am at the Oquawka Cemetery. Turnbull Funeral Home in Oquawka is in charge of the arrangements.
