Robert D. Bower

Robert D. Bower, age 90, of Abingdon, Illinois, passed away at 9:16 am on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at the Abingdon Care Center. He was born on October 26, 1925 in Galesburg, Illinois, the son of Martin I. and Hazel (Sutton) Bower. Robert was reared and educated in Galesburg, IL and attended schools there. On October 22, 1942, he married Beulah H. Bell in Galesburg and she preceded him in death in 1995. Robert worked at Butler Manufacturing for 34 years as an overhead crane operator. He was a member of the Calvary Assembly of God Church. Robert is survived by one daughter; Ruth Bower of Galesburg, IL, two sons; David (Linda) Bower of San Antonio, TX and Terry (Linda Bigger) Bower of Galesburg, IL, and one brother; Leo Bower of the State of Washington. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Robert Bower, and daughter Jessie Shultz. Funeral Service There are no services planned. Interment will be at the Abingdon Cemetery.
