Robert L. Reimolds

Robert L. Reimolds, age 81, of Monmouth, Illinois passed away at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 6:37 am. Robert was born on September 29, 1934 in Laura, Illinois and is the son of Everett G. and Lula M. (Roberts) Reimolds. He was reared in Cameron, Illinois where he attended the Cameron Grade School and later the Monmouth High School. He later attended and graduated from the Dallas City High School in 1952. Robert was united in marriage to Dixie D. Talley on August 18, 1956 in Burlington, Iowa and she is surviving. Robert was employed for forty years by Admiral/Maytag in Galesburg, Illinois from 1955 to 1995 where he was a line person in plastics. He loved his family and the Chicago Cubs. Robert enjoyed country music, cars, yard work, and leisure time at the casino. He is survived by his wife, Dixie D. Reimolds of Monmouth, IL, two daughters; Suzanne (Susan) Anderson-Reimolds of Tempe, AZ and Paula (Bill) Spence of Monmouth, IL, two grandsons; Travis and Heath (Jessica) Spence, two great-granddaughters; Carleigh and Amelia Spence, and one brother; Paul (Carole) Reimolds of Monmouth, IL. Numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives are also surviving. He is preceded in death by his parents, eleven sisters, and two brothers. Visitation No family visitation is currently being planned. Funeral Service A graveside funeral service will be at 10:30 am on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Warren County Memorial Park in Monmouth, IL. A memorial fund is being established for "The Family House" in Peoria, Illinois.
