Robert B. 'Turk' Mcclintock

Robert B. "Turk" McClintock, age 64, of Monmouth, Illinois, passed away at 10:43 AM on Monday, August 8, 2016 at Monmouth Nursing Home in Monmouth, Illinois. Bob was born on February 9, 1952 at Monmouth Hospital and is the son of Robert and Martha Williams McClintock. He was raised and educated in Monmouth where he attended local schools and graduated from Monmouth High School in 1970. Turk was confirmed in the Presbyterian Church and while in high school was on the Monmouth High School Golf Team. He then attended Drake University in DesMoines, IA for a time. Turk began work at Axline Pharmacy while he was in High School. During college he also worked at Alexander Lumber Company and then at Hines and McClintock Appliance Store. He later worked at Munson Trucking in Monmouth and after his father's death he became co-owner and broker at McClintock Realty here in Monmouth, IL, which was his last employment. Robert was a member of the Monmouth Jaycees and was a more than ever a Chicago "Cubs" fan. He is survived by his mother, Martha (Ralph) Whiteman of Monmouth, Illinois, four brothers, Greg McClintock (Irene) of Monmouth, IL; Ronald McClintock (Rhonda) of Colona, IL; Doug McClintock (Karen) of Oquawka, IL; and Barry McClintock (Teresa) of Monmouth, Illinois. His step-sisters survive, Cyndy Ruszkowski of Bloomington, IL; Laurie (Kent) Seymour of Normal, IL; Cheri Whiteman of Chicago, IL; and step brother, Rob Whiteman of Wataga. IL. There are numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews surviving. Turk is preceded in his death by his Father, Robert W. McClintock. Visitation His family plans visitation and will be present from 10:00 to 11:00 am for the hour prior to the service at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, Illinois. Memorial Service A memorial service is planned on Monday, August 15, 2016 at 11:00 am at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, IL. Cremation has been accorded. A memorial fund is being established for Monmouth Nursing Home in Monmouth, IL.
