Ronald E. Modine

Ronald E. Modine, age 67, of Monmouth, passed away at 12:15 a.m., October 3, 2010 at the Galesburg Cottage Hospital in Galesburg, Ill. He was born on December 1, 1942 in Stockton, Ca., the son of Bill E. and Nadine Tubbs Modine. He was reared and educated in Orange, California and graduated from Orange High School. Ronald served in the United States Marine Corp. Ronald owned and operated his own construction company in Orange, Ca. He enjoyed boating on his yacht, hunting, fishing, and like to party and dance. He always tried to help those in need. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his children. Surviving Ronald is his wife Diane Narmi Modine of Monmouth, three sons; Michael Modine of Orange, Ca., Matthew Modine of Tustin, Ca., and William Bivens of Orange, Ca. One daughter Joan Gomez (Manuel) of Placentia, Ca. Also surviving are ten grandchildren, two sisters; Marla Trimble (Dana) of Lincoln, Ca. and Carla Grealy (Peter) of Granite Bay, Ca. Numerous aunts and uncles also survive. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents. Services:Cremation has been accorded and no service is being planned.
