Russell J. Stacker

Russell J. Stacker, age 97, of Cameron, Illinois, passed away at OSF St.Mary Medical Center in Galesburg, IL on March 23, 2009 at 7:08 pm. Russell was born on February 10, 1912 in Huntsville, Illinois and is the son of Otis and Nora Coker Stacker. He was reared and educated in the Huntsville area, and attended Huntsville schools. He married Lois M. Wood on August 11, 1934 in Macomb, Illinois. She preceded him in death. Russell farmed all of his life in Cameron and Warren County until his retirement. Surviving Russell is his son Daryl Stacker and Sandra of Cameron, Illinois Grandchildren; Julie Deadmond of Cameron, Anna Castro and Carlos of Monmouth; Debbie Hartzell and Dave of Gerlaw, Illinois; Rodney Stacker and Chillion of Monmouth, Illinois; and Mike Melvin and Connie of Champaign, Illinois. A brother, Albert Stacker of Macomb, Illinois also survives. He is preceded in death by his wife Lois, a daughter Barbara Venzor , son Ronald Stacker , a grandson Mark Stacker. Services:A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 4, 2009, at Silent Home Cemetery in Cameron, Illinois. Cremation has been accorded. A memorial fund is to be established. Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth is in charge of the arrangements.
