S. Kathryn Noble

S. Kathryn Noble, age 95, of Oquawka, Illinois; passed away at her residence on June 8th Thursday at 1:20 pm. She was born on July 27, 1915 in Carman, Illinois and is the daughter of John and Mary McIntyre Dowell. Kathryn was raised in Lomax, Illinois where she attended local schools. She married John N. Noble on October 3, 1936 in Galva, Illinois. He preceded her in death on October 26, 1992. Kathryn was a home and assisted her husband John in the operation of their farm. She was proud to say that she resided in the same residence for the past 74 years. She is a member of Oquawka United Methodist Church, and often planned wedding receptions and gatherings in the basement of the church. She is a member of Henderson County Home Bureau and the Oquawka Rebeccah Lodge. Kathryn loved to knit and do sewing. She often made gloves and hats for the church bazarre. She also like to travel and take bus trips. She is survived by her daughter Marilyn (Harry) Beauchem of Byron, IL and her son Donald "Butch" Noble of Oquawka, Illinois. Three grandchildren survive Penny (Doug) Reber of Byron, IL, David (Vickie) Beauchem of Morton, IL, and Dawayne Beauchem of East Peoria, IL. There are seven great grandchildren also surviving. Thomas Baker, Amanda Corzatt, Zach and Jessie Reber, Isaac, Marly, and Jacob Beauchem. There are two great granddaughters Lola Grace Baker and Linny Jane Corzatt. Her sister Helen Goble of Dallas City, IL also is surviving. She is preceded in death by her Parents, husband, four sisters, two brothers, and a grandson. Services:A funeral service will be on Monday June 13th, at Turnbull Funeral home in Oquawka, IL. Interment will be in the Oquawka Cemetery. Her family plans to receive friends on Monday at Turnbulls from Noon to the hour of service 2:00 pm. A memorial fund is being established for the Oquawka United Methodist Church.
