Sandra F. Tinkham

Sandra F. Tinkham, age 65, of Monmouth, passed away at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, June 12, 2011 at the Monmouth Nursing Home in Monmouth, Ill. She was born on May 25, 1946 in Monmouth, she is the daughter of Joseph Edwin and Helen Vernon Yeager Mettler. She was reared and educated in Monmouth and attended Monmouth schools. Sandra first married Larry Perry in 1966, and he preceded her in death in 1993. She later married Todd Tinkham in 1994 and he preceded her in death in 2006. She has been in a relationship with Fred Lantau since 2002. She worked at the Roseville Nursing Home and also the Monmouth Nursing Home as a CNA. She enjoyed sewing, camping, and fishing. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and her special dog Toby. Surviving Sandra is her boyfriend Fred Lantau of Monmouth, sisters; Cindy Mettler, April Nickols (Dean), and Helen Meyers (Doug) all of Monmouth. Her brothers; Danny Mettler (Lisa), Rex Mettler (Debbie), Terry Mettler, and Mark Mettler (Laura) all of Monmouth. Numerous nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters; Beverly Powers, Peggy Mettler, and one brother Edwin "Butch" Mettler. Services:A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. Cremation will be accorded following the service . Her family will be present to receive friends and hour prior to service at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established for the OSF Hospice or the American Cancer Society- Peoria, Ill.
