Shelley M. Logsdon

Shelley M. Logsdon, age 44, of Monmouth, Illinois; passed away at her residence on December 24, 2011 at 1:30 am. Shelley was born March 13, 1967 in Fort Lee, Virginia, and is the daughter of Charles M. Sage and Joan M. Whitehall. She was raised in Monmouth and attended Monmouth schools, and later attained her G.E.D. She married Steve Logsdon on August 29, 2009 in Monmouth, Illinois. Shelley was area manager at Farm King in Monmouth for five years and loved her work there, as she loved her co-workers and the customers. It was the perfect job for her, especially when people would bring in their pets and animals. She especially loved her family, attending son Josh's sporting events, and the pet dog "Caesar" She also loved to dress in costume for parades as "Happy corn". Surviving are her husband, Steve of Monmouth, Illinois; one daughter Cassie Figle of Monmouth, and one son Joshua Logsdon also of Monmouth, Illinois. Her granddaughter Addison Tiedemann of Monmouth, Illinois and her father, Charles (Sherry) Sage and mother Joan (Kenny) Unger both are surviving of Monmouth, Illinois. Three brothers survive, Charles "Junior" (Rhonda) Sage, Anthony (Erica) Sage, and Terry Sage all of Monmouth, IL and one sister Rebecca Gorman also of Monmouth, Illinois. Also many nieces and nephews are surviving. Services:A memorial service for Shelley is planned for 10:30 am on Friday morning at Turnbull Funeral Home. No visitation hours or viewing is planned and cremation has been accorded. In lieu of flowers her family much prefers that memorial contributions may be made for her son Josh's education.
