Shirley Fay Merrill

Shirley Fay Merrill, age 82, of Monmouth, Illinois, passed away on Friday, February 22, 2008, at 9:00 a.m. at Roseville Country Manor. Shirley was born on August 10, 1925 in Youngtown, Illinois, the daughter of Lester and Vera (Romine) Merrill. She was reared in the Youngstown and Roseville area and attended Youngstown Schools. Shirley never married. She was of the protestant faith. Shirley is survived by one sister Marilyn Peyton of Las Vegas, NV, and one sister-in-law Jennie Merrill of Monmouth, Illinois Several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews are also surviving. She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and two brothers. Services:A graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 25, 2008, at the Monmouth Cemetery, Monmouth, Illinois. Friends may call on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. A memorial fund is being established for Roseville Country Manor in Roseville, Illinois.
