Shirley Ann Rohr

Shirley Ann Rohr, age 70, of Monmouth, Illinois, passed away at 7:53 P.M. on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois. She was born on May 12, 1947 in Kirksville, Missouri, the daughter of James Wilbur and Helen Louise (Clary) Jones. Shirley was raised in the Monmouth area and attended Monmouth High School. On April 4, 1965, she married Danny J. Rohr at the 1st Christian Church in Monmouth, Illinois, and he preceded her in death on July 28, 1984. Shirley was a homemaker. She enjoyed arts and crafts, country music, fishing and being on the water, and the Chicago Cubs. Most of all, Shirley enjoyed being with her grandchildren and her family. Shirley is survived by six daughters; Penny (Jeramie) Doan of Cameron, IL, Pamela (Keegan) Smyers of Monmouth, IL, Peggy Livolsi of Palm Bay, FL, Paula Wise of Massilon, OH, Miranda Buster of Atlanta, GA, Carissa (Jon) Tartaglia of Naples, FL, two sons; Danny Rohr and Dustin Rohr, both of Palm Bay, FL, one sister, Kimberly (Miles) Cook of Monmouth, IL, twenty-four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one niece. Also surviving are three sisters-in-law; Reva Fox, Marsha Swanson, and Maxine Cooper. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Danny. Cremation is being accorded. A memorial service is planned for 4:00 P.M. on Monday, April 30, 2018 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth. Her family will be present to receive friends from 2:00-4:00 P.M. prior to the service at the funeral home. A memorial is being established for the American Heart Association.
