Steven K. Goodwin

Steven K. Goodwin, age 63, of Monmouth, Illinois passed away at 10:10 pm on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at his Monmouth residence. He was born on January 23, 1953 in Monmouth, Illinois, the son of LeRoy Joseph and Betty Lucille (Bent) Goodwin. Steve was reared and educated in Monmouth, attending Monmouth High School. On March 25, 1972, Steve married Sheila Ann Raymond and she preceded him in death. Steve began work at Meling's in the kitchen in Monmouth. He then worked 20 years on the line at Admiral in Galesburg. Steve also worked for McDonalds and then as a driver for Renzenberger. He loved to fish, watch Elvis movies, baseball, football, and was a fan of Def Leppard. He especially loved his family and his grandchildren. Steve is survived by one daughter, Brandy Hardy of Macomb, IL, two sons; Ned Goodwin of Monmouth, IL and Steve (Correy) Goodwin of Sturtevant, WI, four grandchildren, and four brothers; Randy (Barb) Goodwin of Monmouth, IL, Greg Goodwin of Indianapolis, IN, Jeff (Barb) Goodwin of Monmouth, IL, and Jimmy Goodwin of Fort Worth, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and one grandson. Memorial Service Cremation is being accorded. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be planned and announced at a later date. A memorial fund is being established for diabetes research.
