Sylvia K. Anderson

Sylvia K. Anderson, age 80, formerly of Monmouth, Illinois; passed away at 5:51 P.M. on Monday, January 15, 2018 at Mercy Hospital Hospice in Iowa City, Iowa. She was born on August 30, 1937 in Aurora, Illinois,and is was the daughter of Cameron and Mildred (Stevenson) Randolph. Sylvia was raised and educated in Aurora and Monmouth and attended Monmouth High School. She was previously married to R. Dean Anderson. Sylvia worked for 15 years at the Muscatine Power and Water Utility in Muscatine, Iowa where she did custodial work and was at the gate. She loved to work, but mostly loved her family, friends, and butterflies. Sylvia is survived by one daughter, Sandra K. Anderson of North Liberty, IA, one son, Steven (Denise) Anderson of Bettendorf, IA, four granddaughters, one grandson, two great-granddaughters, one great-grandson, one sister, Nancy Bradley of Youngstown, OH, one niece, Theresia Polite of Youngstown, OH, and a number of cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents and one son, Dale.
