Sylvia Darlene Mccannon

Sylvia Darlene McCannon, age 77, of Oquawka, passed away at 8:55 a.m., July 3, 2010 at the Great River Medical Center in Burlington, Ia. She was born on November 6, 1932 in Carmen, Il., the daughter of Walter E. and Grace S. Bagles Lundeen. Sylvia attended Oquawka schools. She worked in various factory jobs over the years including Sylvania in Burlington, Ia., ESP, and she was also a waitress for a time. She enjoyed horses, hunting, and fishing. Sylvia is survived by her daughter Paula Marie Elmore (Max) of Jacksonville, Fl., one son Ed McCannon (Janice) of Cape Coral, Fl., six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Numerous cousins also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Leah Merle Lundeen Rice. Services:A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 8, 2010 at the Oquawka Cemetery in Oquawka, Ill. Friends may call on Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Turnbull Funeral Home in Oquawka where her family will be present to receive friends. A memorial fund has been established for the Parkinson Association of Illinois.
