Thrina K. Gaskill

Thrina K. Gaskill, age 58, of Monmouth, Ill., passed away at 1:20 p.m. on Friday, February 20, 2009 at her residence. Thrina was born on February 16, 1951, in Monmouth, the daughter of Donald and Mable Jane Gittings Boone. She was raised in Monmouth, attending Monmouth Public Schools and graduating from Monmouth High School in 1970. Thrina married Gary Gaskill on April 8, 1972. Thrina was a home maker and her family was her life and work. She enjoyed spending time with her children and granddaughters. She took great pride in her yard. She loved to travel and enjoyed the Caribbean. Thrina is survived by her husband Gary Gaskill of Monmouth, one son Trevor Gaskill (Vera) of Libertyville, Ill., one daughter Andrea Trego (Randy) of Monmouth, her mother Jane Boone of Monmouth, granddaughters, Addyson and Leighton Trego and Emily Gaskill. Also surviving are her sisters Theresa Coursey, Donna Hagy and Joan Bennett and one brother Steve Boone. She is preceded in death by her son Tyler Gaskill, father Donald Boone, nephews Tommy Raymond, and Ryan Bennett and father-in-law George Gaskill. Services:A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at Countryside Bible Church in rural Monmouth. Interment will be in the Warren County Memorial Park, Monmouth. Thrina's family will be present to receive friends at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth on Tuesday February 24, 2009, from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. A memorial fund is being established for American Cancer Society.
