Tonya R. Fye

Tonya R. Fye, age 27, passed away at 3:53 a.m., Monday, May 12, 2008, at Galesburg Cottage Hospital in Galesburg, Illinois. She was born on November 8, 1980, in Aledo, Illinois and is the daughter of James R. and Janet Marie Bibee Cooper. She was reared and educated in the Monmouth area, and attended Monmouth Public Schools. Tonya enjoyed art, drawing, and nature. She was a very caring person, and cared deeply for all her family and friends, and cherished the relationships she had with all. Tonya is survived by one daughter; Naomi Grace blackford of Monmouth, Illinois, her mother; Janet Cooper of Galesburg, two sisters; Anna Haliburton and Dave of Monmouth, Judy Davis of Burlington, Iowa, four brothers; Tino Arteaga and Belinda of Victoria, Illinois, James Arteaga and Cecelia of Galesburg, Scott Cooper and James Cooper, both of Burlington. Also surviving is one Aunt, Janet Reynolds and Gary of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her father, maternal grandmother, Edna J. Doss. Services:A funeral service will be on Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at 1:30 p.m., at Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth, Her family will receive friends at Turnbulls the day of the service from 12:00-1:30 p.m. prior to the funeral. Cremation will be accorded following the service. A memorial fund is being established for Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund.
